Spiritual House Cleaning This La Regla Lucumí spiritual house cleansing ritual was shared with me by a Babalawo colleague years ago. It can be done by anyone and does not require initiation. It is great for spiritual decontamination of a residence or room. Can also be used to purify a space after lurid, paranormal sexual intercourse and dark spiritual work.
Items required: Cigar White Eggs Dozen Red Roses Charcoal Incense Disk 1 White Pigeon or Dove Frankincense & Myrrh Resin Wrey & Nephew 150% Proof Rum Instructions Obtain all the times listed above. The ritual works better if the pigeon or dove is kept overnight in the house before doing the ritual the next morning. Water and feed the bird according to your intuition if required. Step 1) Pass six red roses over your body - head to toe as you pray to be cleansed from all spiritual defilement and dark energy associated with hexes, curses and lurid demon manifesting sexual activity.
Step 2) Remove the petals from the remaining six red roses. Scatter the petals around the house on the floor in the corners for one day. Discard in trash. Step 3) Prepare pigeon by spraying Wrey & Nephew Rum over it followed by blowing cigar smoke over the bird. Be gentle as you explain to the bird what you require it to do. Remember, you are not sacrificing the bird. You are asking the bird to become a scapegoat and vessel to carry away evil, negativity and dark energy. Step 4) Holding the bird gently, clean the walls with the white pigeon or dove and release ourdoors with thanks.
Step 5) Fumigate residence with Frankincense & Myrrh resin burned on a hot charcoal incense disk. Caution: Be fire safe. Optional Step 6) Place a fresh white egg in each corner of every room or one egg in the center of each room economics withstanding. Discard in the trash after 3 days. Optional Step 7) Place a lit white candle with a glass of water in the corner behind the front door. * A cap of lemon ammonia can be added to the water. This is a low level spirit trap. Empty water every three days. If bugs are in the water, that is a sign the remedy is working. If no bugs after several days, the residence is probably free of negative spirits.

Be sure to use an incense burner or any fire-proof dish, such as an ashtray, pottery, metal dish, etc. You can also line a small tray or dish with foil; and fill it about 1” deep of salt, sand, or rice ash to insulate it and keep it from getting too hot.
Use about a tablespoon of the powdered incense at a time, and place in the center of your dish. Take your fingers and tightly pinch and pack it into a triangle or cone shape. Next, you just take a match or lighter and apply fire to the top and sides of the mound of incense you’ve shaped. Do not blow it, just wait, and the flame will slowly fade out and smolder. It will continue to give off a fragrant smoke until it has burned completely to the bottom of the triangle or cone. Repeat as desired. Note: A spiritual way to use the incense when performing a prayer or ritual, is to write a petition appropriate to the type of incense you’re using (cross it with your name or targets name) on parchment paper or a piece of brown paper bag (about 3” x 3”), add a tablespoon of incense into the center of the paper and roll toward you to draw things, roll away from you to repel things. Place into your incense burner, and light the tip on fire. When I want to burn candles with a lot of energy, I dress with spiritual oil and roll the candle into the powdered incense.
